PERRIS, Calif. -- The remains of a Russian skydiver, last seen two months ago, may have been found on a Riverside County farm.
A Perris farmer discovered the decomposed remains of a skydiver as he plowed his field Tuesday. Parachutes found with the remains had not deployed.
Riverside County sheriff's officials say they believe the remains could be those of 50-year-old Vladimir Frolov.
Frolov took a solo jump from a plane on Sept. 25 in Perris.
Frolov, a tourist, was reportedly traveling alone so no one reported him missing for five days.
Authorities found his rental car and passport in the airport parking lot after a friend in St. Petersburg, Russia called the skydiving company looking for him.
Officials were expected to use dental records in an attempt to identify the remains.
