NBA: San Antonio 111, Phoenix 108

PHOENIX, -- Richard Jefferson and Tim Duncan combined for 51 points Wednesday and the San Antonio Sours held on down the stretch to defeat Phoenix 111-108.
Jefferson made 8-of-11 shots from the field and scored 26 points while Duncan had 17 rebounds to go with his 25 points.
After Jefferson made two free throws with 43 seconds to play, giving San Antonio a four-point lead, Jason Richardson missed a pair of 3-point tries for the Suns. Another free throw by Tony Parker with 18 seconds left put the Spurs ahead by five.
San Antonio has won three of its four games this season and the Suns have lost three of four.
Manu Ginobili added 18 for the Spurs, who made 54 percent of their field goal tries to help make up for 21 turnovers.
Phoenix was led by 21 points from Richardson and 19 from both Steve Nash and Hakim Warrick.
