CALGARY, Alberta – Chris Stewart scored three goals for his second NHL hat trick, and Daniel Winnik broke a tie with 2:20 left in the Colorado Avalanche's 6-5 victory over the Calgary Flames on Thursday night.
Stewart has eight goals in 10 games this season. He also had three goals last March against St. Louis.

Calgary goalie Henrik Karlsson made 30 saves in his home debut.
Yip tied it early in the third when he backhanded a low shot to the far side behind Karlsson, and Galiardi converted a feed from Paul Stastny to put Colorado in front.
Tanguay made a nice move to backhand a shot past Budaj to tie it at 5, but Winnik fired a low shot to the far side past Karlsson for the winner.
