Tennessee awarded Moss on waivers

NASHVILLE, -- Mercurial wide receiver Randy Moss was awarded to the Tennessee Titans Wednesday after he was claimed by the team off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings.
Twenty-two other teams put in a claim for Moss before the Titans moved to add the 14-year veteran wideout, who was cut loose by the Vikings Tuesday after clashing with Coach Brad Childress.
"We had an opportunity to upgrade our offense and Randy has been a tremendous threat where ever he has been," Titans head Coach Jeff Fisher said. "We will bring him up to speed as quickly as possible."
The move means the Titans will pick up $3.9 million of Moss' $6.4 million salary.
Moss spent less than a month with Minnesota after the Vikings obtained him in an Oct. 6 trade with New England, making nine catches for 139 yards in three touchdowns over four games.
Moss could make his Titans debut at Miami Nov. 14. Tennessee has a bye this week.
