'Toy Story 3' still No. 1 in U.S.

LOS ANGELES, (UPI) -- "Toy Story 3" is still going strong in U.S. theaters, taking the No. 1 sport for the second weekend in a row, estimated box office figures indicated Sunday.

Box Office Mojo said the animated children's film pulled in another $59 million this weekend, pushing its two-week total to $226.6 million.

Two new movies, "Grown Ups" and "Knight & Day," busted out at Nos. 2 and 3. "Grown Ups," a comedy about high school friends (Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Rob Schneider, Chris Rock and David Spade) reuniting after their basketball coach's death, raked in an estimated $41 million in ticket sales, while "Knight & Day," an espionage comedy with Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz in the starring roles, tallied $20.5 million.

Two remakes, "The Karate Kid" and "The A-Team," both dropped two spots to third and fourth with $15.4 million and $6 million, respectively.

Rounding out the Top 10 were "Get Him to the Greek" at $3 million, "Shrek Forever After" at $2.9 million, "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" at $2.8 million, "Killers" with $2 million and "Jonah Hex" taking in $1.6 million.

"Iron Man 2" fell out of the top tier this week after eight weeks there; "Marmaduke" after four.
