Train Derails, Homes Evacuated Near Perry - Photos - KOCO Oklahoma City
PERRY, Okla. -- Crews are working to clean up after police officials said several cars overturned when the train they were a part of derailed in Perry Thursday night.
Perry Police Department officials said there was a leak in the train, but it was not known what was leaking. Officials with the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad system are cleaning up and investigating.
Several nearby families have been evacuated and relocated in a nearby hotel. Perry Mayor Chuck Hall said he hopes to get the families back in their homes early this afternoon.
There were no injuries reported in this derailment.
