BOSTON -- A college student walking in Boston on Wednesday made a gruesome discovery: two skulls in a box.
Police said they are trying to determine if the remains are human.
The skulls were found on top of a blanket inside a cardboard box near 760 Huntington Ave.
"I couldn't believe it," student Paul Hamblin said. "It was propped along the wall."
Hamblin said at first he thought the skulls were fake.
"To think of the two skulls there, where are the two bodies?" Hamblin said.
Police officials aren't explaining what they think it is a prank or a crime. Either way, Hamblin said it's creepy.
"I was pretty terrified thinking that not only does somebody have the skulls but they're propped up in a box," Hamblin said.
In addition to the box of skulls, a Dumpster was taken from the scene.
