A 33-year-old woman has been charged in connection to the death of a three-year-old boy, who was struck and killed by a vehicle on Manitoba's Peguis First Nation.
The boy was struck Wednesday evening in the yard of a home in the community, located 190 kilometres north of Winnipeg.
The boy was rushed to hospital by ambulance and later pronounced dead, police said.
The woman, from Winnipeg, has been charged with failing to remain at the scene of an accident causing death.
She remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on May 24.
Police continue to investigate. No further information is available.
