Woods says will defend FedEx Cup title
ORLANDO, Fla., Tiger Woods said on his Web site Thursday he will play in The Barclays next week, the start of his defense of his FedEx Cup title.
The FedEx Cup playoffs are open to the Top 125 players on the PGA Tour points list. Woods is ranked No. 1 in the world but is struggling with his game and is only 108th on the points list.
Woods, who also won the first FedEx Cup in 2007, isn't playing in this week's Wyndham Championship.
The Barclays will be Woods's 10th event this season. He has yet to win.
