Yao Ming out a week with sprained ankle
HOUSTON, -- The Houston Rockets announced Thursday center Yao Ming had a slight ankle sprain and would miss at least one week.
The often injured star has been limited to less than 20 minutes a game this year as a precaution after he missed all of the 2009-10 season with a broken left foot.
Yao injured the ankle Wednesday during the opening quarter of a loss to Washington. He has averaged 10.2 points and 5.4 rebounds in five outings this season.
Houston has only one victory in the young season.
