Hello everyone,

I just bought a used vcr to watch my old vhs movies and I need to set it up. However, I would like to know the best way to do this.

Check out the pictures. One is of the back of my tv and the other the back of the vcr. *Note* I have a shaw cable box as well.

Can someone tell me where to connect everything the best way?

Thanks in advance,

Jenna

Just take the yellow & white out from VCR & put into video #1 on tv ...it will only work on one speaker on tv though because VCR is not stereo . you can go to dollar store & get RCA spliter for two bucks to split the white so it goes into white & red then both speakers will work....your shaw box works on video #2 your VCR will work on video #1 ...just so you know U won't be able to record just watch ....Cheers

You can also put/connect the coax cable directly into the VCR, tune the channels in it and then connect the the TV through VCR out. This way you can record any channel/program that you may want to.. Hope it helps..
