Jail sentence for Pa. 'vomit' assault
PHILADELPHIA, A Pennsylvania man who pleaded guilty to intentionally vomiting on a father and his two daughters at a baseball game has been sentenced to jail, officials said.

Matthew Clemmens, 21, was sentenced to 30 to 90 days in jail, two years' probation and 50 hours of community service on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Saturday.

Clemmens, of Cherry Hill, Pa., and three friends heckled Michael Vangelo, an off-duty police captain from Easton, Pa., and his daughters ages 15 and 11 during the second game of the Phillies' home-opener series in April.

After one of Clemmens' friends was ejected from the ballpark at Vangelo's request, Clemmens stuck his finger down his throat and vomited on the officer and his daughters.

"You have invaded the opportunity to enjoy the American pastime of baseball," Common Pleas Court Judge Kevin Dougherty told Clemens as he pronounced sentence. "You struck out."
