For updating drivers of my Palit Nvidia 9800GT, should I uninstall first the previous driver installation?

For updating drivers of my Palit Nvidia 9800GT, should I uninstall first the previous driver installation and then install the updated ones or it's okay to just install the updated driver? thanks!

People everywhere say you should remove old ones, I have never removed older drivers I install right over them , sometimes the new drivers will un-install the older ones for you.

Each driver comes with it's own instructions!

u should uninstall the previous driver. it might cauze conflicts if u don't

Just install the new drivers, I also always just do that. If ever there is a problem, you can still uninstall the current driver and then install the new ones again.
