2 Calgary home invasions investigated

No one was hurt in two weekend home invasions being investigated by Calgary police.

At about 5 a.m. MT Saturday, six or seven men forced their way into a home in the 200 block of Hamptons Mews N.W.

Police say the men, all wearing black clothes and masks, restrained the four people inside the home. The men searched the home and left.

Investigators believe the home was targeted.

The second home invasion happened at about 2:30 a.m. MT on Sunday.

Police say two men forced their way into a basement residence at a home in the 1500 block of 35 Street S.E.

The offenders made demands for property and fired a gun. They fled with a few items and got into a silver car with a waiting driver.

Police do not believe this one was a random attack either.

The first suspect is described as a dark-skinned man around five feet, seven inches tall with a slim build. He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a bandana over his face.

The second man is described as being between five feet, 11 inches and six feet, one inch tall. He has a slim build and was wearing dark clothing.
