Two former NASCAR vehicles will be available at the Mecum Collector Car Auction later this month at Osceola Heritage Park in Kissimmee.

On Friday, Jan. 28, a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Shell Pennzoil Car will go up for bid with all proceeds benefitting the nonprofit Cooke and Old Village schools in Northville, Mich., which focus on programs for special needs students. The custom Richard Childress NASCAR No. 29 car was raced by Daytona 500 champion Kevin Harvick at Atlanta and tested at Indianapolis, Charlotte and Michigan.

On Saturday, Jan. 29, the auction will offer a race-ready 2007 No. 8 Budweiser Chevy Monte Carlo SS that was driven by Dale Earnhardt Jr. The car also features a Dale Earnhardt Jr. autograph on the dashboard. The car marked the final season together for Earnhardt Jr., DEI and Budweiser, closing a chapter that saw the team win 19 Cup races, including two in the fabled Daytona 500.

Mecum's Kissimmee Auction will offer 1,750 high-quality vehicles at the five-day event.
