360 premier troubles

Ok..any ideas for this?
I have a wm hub and 360p. I can't check the serial number because of wm hub. If I load the 263 file a set of numbers does come up. If I enter all 0's and re-load 420 file I get the fail to get serial from server message, 5 to 10 minutes later it goes away then tv rolls in. It always lasts for around an hour then goes down. If I re-load the 263 file a new set of numbers is always there. If I re-enter the old numbers nothing happens, If I reset to all 0's eventually it will come back again.

I have tried loading files with sat cable disconnected in case it was causing an error in the data stream. No luck. I have done everything possible and still this remains my problem. I'm trying to think outside the box, but just can't figure this out. It's getting frustrated. Anyone have any ideas. I'm up for an hour then down for 5. I have factory defaulted, cleaned system numerous times, loded wiz, re-loaded wiz, loaded 2.2, re-loaded 2.2 waited for hours and days. I know my set up very well and still have never had issues until this 420 file. Any ideas would be appreciated.

If my memory serves me, the sv360p has two different files that are totally different and not interchangeable that need to be loaded to straighten out the serial number issue. Ones with serial starting with "5e" will use the 263 file, while ones with serial starting with "wm" will need to use 264 file. It could maybe be why some are having problems and some are not. The 264 file for the "wm" hubs will automatically set the serial number and the S.N. field will not show up in ipconfig as an option to be changed if I remember correctly.

You are on the right track, but 264 doesn't have an input field for serial. So there really is no way of knowing if that file will connect your hub. I have been using the 263 even with my wm.....this is why: The file still produces a number in the serial section when your hub connects, I reset the serial field to all 0's, reason being after you load the 420 file the hub still has to connect to the server with it's own number. That is when the fail to get serial from the server is produced. At that point if I wait for 5 to 10 minutes the error stops on it's own, it has connected. Then I can roll back to the 263 file and see the numbers where I put in all 0's. However the numbers are always different. This tells me I'm getting connected to the server, the error is gone and the serial field has been reset. I still think the problem is with wiznet or the file itself. The post you provided is definitely useful, however I have been trying all those things for weeks to no avail. The post will help others. I believe I'm outside the box on this one.

did you a hard reboot right after you reset?? i seen other people with the same problems and they said to reboot,, also plug it in to the wall not on one of those plug bars,,

I can load file 263, write the numbers down and not change anything. Load 420 and let it connect. Re-load 263 and get a different set of numbers, repeatedly. I've been complaining about this file since day one. SV, if you can hear me, fix this crap file. Lots of people are experiencing challenges with the new files, except ones with the 8000HD. I haven't seen a complaint from anyone with those receivers. For us not to change our set ups and them to change files and tell us it's on our end isn't flying with me this time. FIX IT SV. I should be able to load those files back and forth all day with no changes. Thank you guys for your help, I will keep trying, but there aren't any options left. If I can't make this work for the last month, I doubt it's me.
