Hi,

I'm trying to use the ROC SW81 DiSeqc (8x1) switch with 9000HD, but in the Antenna setup Menu there are ONLY 4 ports available. Hww can I use 8 LNBs with 9000HD?

For 82W sat, (B3V HD Bird) can I use the same LNB as the one used for 91W or do I need a special LNB?

Thanks.

Well it's a little harder then just picking the disc settings. Now i have never set one up because i have just used dish motors insted. Now the setup is close to the same.

There is 2 ways on making this switch work.

Please Note: This switch is not compatible with all FTA receivers. There are 2 ways to use this switch.

1) DiSEqC 1.1 which allows you to change switch settings to uncommitted in the menu opening up 8 ports.

2) Program "fake" motor positions using USLAS so that each sat is set to a motor position to do the switching.

Always power down and unplug your ird before installing any switch! Otherwise you may damage the switch

It is the same lnb, but you can't use the exact same one. an lnb can only pickup one bird at a time. If the lnb is pointed at 91, then picking up 82 with that same lnb is imposible, unless you had a dish motor then the lnb will track all the birds in the sky.
