He's already the highest paid host on reality TV with "American Idol," he runs a successful TV production company behind shows like "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," and now, having signed a radio deal with Clear Channel -- worth a reported $60 million - Ryan Seacrest is fast on his way to taking over the world.
Ryan though, doesn't feel like a media mogul just yet.
"I don't know what a mogul feels like. I am only 5' 9" and can only bench 160 pounds," Ryan joked in an interview with Zap2It's Pop2It blog, posted on Wednesday.
According to the New York Times, Ryan's deal with Clear Channel will see him continue his "On Air With Ryan Seacrest" radio program, but it will also see him taking a more executive role with the company in general. His responsibilities will include developing syndicated radio content across the conglomerate's platforms, as well launching a record label.
The two parties will also start a music publishing business and live concert series, the Times reported.
"I think excited and refreshed and anxious," Ryan told Pop2It about his feelings following the news of his Clear Channel deal.
"The last 12 months, I was taking a hard look at what I wanted to try to focus on, and this was in my head for a while and it started to come to fruition over the last two or three months and over the last few days, we nailed it own to what everyone could accomplish," Ryan added.
Although the 35-year-old (he turns 36 on Christmas Eve) is carving out his own path, he told Pop2It, he continues to pull inspiration from "the Regises and Larry Kings and obviously **** [Clark] and Merv Griffin."
He added that despite his workload, he's also learned to take a little time for himself here and there.
"As I got older, I learned you need to go out to a movie and do your best and leave your BlackBerry locked up in your glove compartment," he told the website.
