[Problem!] After update with WF, Viewsat Ultra reboots to ---- then freezes up?

After updating Viewsat and WF as instructed, the receiver reboots and freezes with ---- on display. If I unplug WF, then U.56 flashes on viewsat display and turns on. I plug in WF again and get no video and audio. Any help is appreciated. I have exhausted my options.

I'm getting same thing. I even ran cleaner and upped software and WS firmware one version at a time. Finally running pftausw-100708u and DX-X00-N APP 2.00.07 on WF. My WF is vers 1.1. Getting 82 Sig and 86 Qual.

Works a lot better using the 624 file. Newer isn't necessarily better.

Network setup update resolved issue as of 8/6/10. Seem there was a problem with DX-X00-N APP 2.00.07 Update is version DX-X00-N APP 2.00.06.

My HD Max has the same situation. I have installed 614pgm and then update 708pgm. I have upgraded the serial to 2.00.07.

I get the Guide and channel discription but no picture. Any suggestions?

I am using file 6/24. after installing this file, check to see if your maxhd is working. if not, go to menu, installation, antenae setup, have it on echo 7, change your port to a different port, save, then exit. go back, do the same procedure, but change echo 7 to the proper port, save, exit. let your unit reboot for about 20 minutes, then see if you have a picture. why this worked, i'll never know, but been up and running for about 2 hours. seen that waldo69 had tried this, worked for him.

did you try unplugging the weather forecaster, rebooting that, then reboot your maxhd, see if that works.

Network s/w update and Receiver update (PGM) files correspond to each other. When Receiver PGM file is updated need to also update Network s/w file.

614 and 624 files correspond to DX-X00-N APP 2.00.06.
708 file corresponds to DX-X00-N APP 2.00.07

Making sure the 2 files correspond to each other resolved my issue.

Waldo69,
Unplugging the WF, reboot Viewsat, plug WF back in. Load program file, then update Network S/W. This should resolve your issue.
