One of the men involved in a bloody scene in the west end of St. John's last week has been released on bail.

Joshua Kojak, 32, was treated in hospital for stab wounds after he was taken from a home on Jensen Camp Road, off Blackmarsh Road, last Thursday.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary was called to the scene Thursday morning. Kojak's torso was covered with blood, and blood was visible on a door and the stairs outside.

No one has been charged for the stabbing, but both Kojak and his estranged partner Brian Moriarity, 29, were charged with breaching court orders.

The men have a violent history towards each other and had been instructed to stay away from one another.

Kojak was released from custody on Monday under conditions that include staying away from drinking, weapons and Moriarity.

Both men are expected to appear in provincial court later this month.
