Ummm well that depends what Athlon, besides the 7750 they are all AM2 socket and all the Phenoms, Phenom II 920 and 940, are AM2+ socket which is backwards compatible but they're limited to a 1Ghz Hypertransport interface instead of the 2.6Ghz HT of the AM2+ socket.
