Chicology window blinds recalled
Washington, (UPI) -- The U.S.Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Chicology roll-up window blinds due to a strangulation hazard.
About 6,200 window blinds were imported from Taiwan by Chicology of Ontario, Calif., and sold nationwide from April 2006 through March 2010.
The lifting loops on the blinds can entrap a child, the commission said.
The blinds are made of jute, natural fiber-paper and polyester. They were sold in French Antique Gold, Zen Moss, Tropic Ginger and Kansas White styles.
Consumers were advised to stop using the window blinds and contact Chicology for a retrofit kit.
