Police in Coquitlam, B.C., are investigating the sudden death of an infant at a home daycare.
The one-year-old boy, whose name has not been released, died on Monday, RCMP Const. Kristina Biro said.
The Rattle-N-Roll daycare where the infant died is located in the 1300-block of Shaughnessy Street near David Avenue.
Neighbours confirmed to CBC News that the unlicenced daycare has been operating out of the home for several years.
A licence is not required in B.C. if no more than two children are being cared for.
The Coroner's Service is also investigating.
