Vancouver police are investigating the death of a four-month-old baby boy at a home on Vancouver's West Side.

A family member at a home in the 4000 block of Crown Crescent called police about 9:30 a.m. PT Thursday and reported finding the infant not moving, police spokeswoman Const. Jana McGuinness said Friday

Investigators have not labelled the boy's death a homicide, but said it is being treated as suspicious.

An autopsy is scheduled for next week.

Police later executed a search warrant at the home and detained four people for questioning, but released them a short while later.

"The child was found unresponsive," McGuinness said. "We need to be very sure what we are dealing with. We have to take every precaution until an autopsy can clearly establish the cause of death."
