[Noobie Question?] Epg

Can anyone tell me how many hours ahead should I be able to view on Dishnet EPG, I'm only getting about 2 hours tops.
I'm currently using "X-87BL_080908_B75_288_api"

in user settings on some boxes you can down load EPG upto week & even more sometimes , I use a Veiwsat which has that option I'm not sure about yours ... I use to have a Ariza 700 & was lucky to get any guide .. Cheers

if you leave it on channel 239 for about 30 minutes your epg will populate to about 3 day's max.....

Try leaving it on...over night on that channel ...if not then just let is sit for a while .....

OK guys, I did as you suggested but still only have 2 - 2.5 hours of scheduling in the EPG, I guess anything further ahead of that will just be a nice surprise for me .. lol

Did you try leaving it on channel 239 overnight if not try this

To get more than 2 hr EPG, make sure you're on ECHO7 (119w). Use chan# 120 (Hist)
Turn the unit off with the remote for 3 seconds, then turn it back on.


You'll be greeted with a choice to d/l the guide, or exit. Choose to D/L the guide.
It'll take about 3 minutes, but you'll end up with a 40 hr guide.

If you hit exit, you'll have a 2 program guide. (this is what Is use)


To refresh the 2 program guide, turn the unit off with the remote for 3 seconds, then back on, and hit exit at the prompt again.

Unfortunately, there is no such option for BEV, but they're working on it.
