ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Amy Zeller and Codjo Mensah have a great story to tell now as they welcomed a child to the world at United Hospital bright and early Tuesday morning.
On 1/11/2011 at exactly 1:11 a.m., Flora Mensah was born. The baby girl weighed 9 pounds, 11.5 ounces and is 21.5 inches long.
"We figured she wasn't going to come until after midnight, so then we had to wait until after 1," Zeller said. "Then it had to happen at 1 and 11 minutes so it was 1-11. The closer we got, I was like 'It's going to happen.'"
The odds of having a baby at exactly 1:11 on Jan. 11 are slim at best, but Zeller said she came out at exactly the right time.
Both the baby and Zeller are doing well.
