Toronto police said the pedestrian was struck on Wellington Street West near Blue Jays Way by an SUV that fled the scene.

Toronto police are calling 20-year-old Vincent Dang's death a homicide after he was struck and killed by an SUV in the entertainment district.
Toronto police say a hit-and-run death in the entertainment district early Saturday is now considered a homicide related to a nightclub altercation.
Vincent Dang, 20, of Concord, Ont., was killed after being struck by an SUV on Wellington Street West around 2:30 a.m. He was taken to hospital but died around 3:30 a.m.
Dang had been with friends at the Rockwood nightclub on Mercer Street, where he was involved in a dispute inside the club that spilled onto the street, police said.
A man whom police have identified as a suspect left the club and drove off in a dark grey, full-size SUV similar to a Chevrolet Suburban or GMC Denali.
The vehicle was seen driving east on Wellington before making a U-turn and driving toward Dang, who was with friends on the sidewalk.
The SUV then travelled south on Blue Jays Way. Police said there were three to five people in the vehicle when Dang was struck.
Police described the driver as a man in his early 20s with a dark complexion, thin build, a moustache and goatee. He was last seen wearing a black jacket with stripes on the collar and sleeve.
Police are also looking for the vehicle, which they said likely has damage on its front right side.
