Five 'Blackhawk Road' signs stolen
WILMETTE, Ill., (UPI) -- Suburban Chicago police said an apparent Chicago Blackhawks fan made off with five signs from Blackhawk Road following the team's Stanley Cup win.

Wilmette police Cmdr. Patrick Collins said the signs were reported missing June 11, the day of the team's victory parade in downtown Chicago, and investigators believe the thefts were carried out under cover of darkness, The Chicago Tribune reported Friday.

Collins said there were no witnesses to the thefts.

Police in another suburb, Bolingbrook, said they were keeping a close eye on their Blackhawk Lane signs.

"We'll see how much longer they last," Lt. Mike Rompa said.

The Blackhawks won their first Stanley Cup in 49 years June 9, defeating the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3.
