Three adults and two juvenile males, arrested last week, have now been charged in a string of armed robberies in rural Alberta.

Several suspects were arrested Friday in Edmonton's Beverly neighbourhood, along with a female who has since been released without charges.

Franklin William Gladue, 34, of no fixed address, faces a total of 32 charges including seven counts of robbery with a weapon and eight counts of possessing stolen property.

RCMP also said Wednesday that a16-year-old male from Hobbema faces eight charges, including robbery with a firearm and possession of stolen property. And a 15-year-old from Bonnyville faces 15 robbery-related charges, including robbery with a firearm.

Last week, RCMP said they were seeking Gladue and two youths in connection with seven armed robberies in Bonnyville, Lac la Biche, Wildrose, Bonnyville, Millet, Onoway, Wetaskiwin and Gibbons since the end of November. A bank teller was assaulted at the ATB Financial branch in Gibbons last week.

Five of the robberies took place at ATB Financial branches which prompted the bank to offer a $10,000 reward.

The suspects used a sawed-off shotgun in every robbery, police said.

Also last Friday two other adults were charged in relation to one of the robberies. Neil George Gladue, 30, of Edmonton, faces six robbery-related charges in connection with the Lac la Biche armed robbery. And Tyler Bruce Clark, 26, of Edmonton, faces a charge of robbery with a farearm and two counts of possessing stolen goods over $5000, also in connection with the Lac la Biche incident.

RCMP said they were concerned the group would keep committing robberies, which had become increasingly violent.
