Toronto police are asking for witnesses to come forward after hearing reports that a man was shot near the entertainment district.
Police said in a Wednesday statement that officers responded to a report of a shooting in front of the Cobra nightclub at around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday near Brant Street on King Street West.
Police found several shell casings in the area, but could not find a shooting suspect or victim.
They said witnesses reported seeing an injured man fleeing the scene before police arrived.
