How do I make the swirl effect on Sony Vegas move?

I have Sony Vegas 9.0, and I know how to add the swirl effect.But how do I actually make it move around my video clip. Because it just stays in place.I tried adding a keyframe to the timeline in the Event FX box, then move around the little minus sign in the box, but then the swirl would only move to one place and freeze.

Try addeding one to go back if u wanted it in that one place

make sure you have the starting keyframe at the beginning of the clip, and the ending keyframe at the end. i use vegas for my full time job editing wedding videos. i don't know all the features, like what that swirl effect is, but i've figured out the keyframes, or that little diamond that starts and ends the effect. make sure you have the "synch cursor" button setup right.
