how do i reset my epson stylus c44ux printer?

i have taken apart and cleaned the soak up ink pads but now i need to reset the settings i have downloaded somthing i found on internet and tried it but it will not stop my red and green lights flashing on printer is it time to call it aday and buy a new 1 if so wich 1 is best for home use where inks are cheaply available...

you can download utilities to clear the counters but printers are so cheap these days it might be worth buying a new one - look at the cost of the replacement cartridges when deciding what new one to buy

There is a tool you can download which may help you do a software reset on the printer.http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtmlIf you do find yourself needing to replace the printer. The Kodak ESP all in one 3 has the cheapest ink out of any printer currently on the market.
