HUNTSVILLE, AL —
It's not every day you hear about someone turning 103. But what one Huntsville woman wanted for her birthday can't help but make you chuckle. Elva Cook celebrated her birthday with a plate of spicy Mexican food and an ice cold beer.

Cook, her daughter and several friends went to Phil Sandoval's Mexican Restaurant on Friday. Cook got the royal treatment from the moment she walked in the door -- she didn't need a walker or a wheelchair.

She ordered a cold glass of Miller Lite and toasted with her daughter, Loretta Hancock, as they both took a sip.

Cook ordered a burrito, too, but it wasn't spicy enough for her taste when it arrived so she added some salsa.

Cook lives at Regency Retirement Village in Huntsville. Many of the other residents and staff joined in the celebration today. They also came to Phil Sandoval's for Cook's 102nd birthday, and on that day, owner Sandoval gave Cook a large sombrero to keep.

For Cook's 101st birthday, she celebrated at Chuck E. Cheese and even danced with the mouse. Happy Birthday, Elva!
