i just instaled red hat linux in my pc which has also windows XP.linux doesnot detect audio device, nor does it detect the broadband modem. {BSNL dataone} . how do i install the drivers ? i am new to linux . i have the driver CDs but dont know wat to do . pls help ?
You probably have the Windows driver CDs.If you are new to linux and want to experiment I'd recommend removing Red hat and installing something like ubuntu. Its got much better hardware support to get you started.If you do want to continue with Red Hat you're going to have to start googling each device you have with linux drivers as part of the search to find the drivers you need. They will often come with instructions on how to install them.
