Manitoba Health Minister Theresa Oswald was slightly injured Friday in a three-vehicle crash on the Trans-Canada Highway near MacGregor, Man., that was being blamed on icy roads and poor visibility.
The crash happened around noon.
The minister was returning to Winnipeg from Brandon following a meeting of the government caucus of NDP members of the legislature.
Oswald suffered what were described as minor cuts and bruises.
The crash closed the eastbound lanes of the Trans-Canada in the area for about an hour.
MacGregor is about 130 kilometres west of Winnipeg.
