A flight to Cuba was diverted to Halifax, N.S., Monday to deal with an unruly passenger.
The plane was heading to the resort town of Varadero from London, U.K., when an incident with a misbehaving man led to it landing in Halifax at 12:15 p.m. The 30-year-old British man was arrested under the mental health act.
He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre for a psychiatric assessment. Police would not say what happened on the flight. They did say no passengers were injured.
The flight continued on its way to Cuba after the man was taken into custody.
