New York City police said Sunday they were seeking a man who allegedly started a fight with another man who wound up dead after being hit by a train.
The unidentified suspect allegedly got into an argument with Joshua Basin, 20, of the Queens borough's Howard Beach neighborhood while riding the L train Friday night, amNewYork reported. The two then got into a physical fight once they got off the train and both ended up on the tracks.
Police said the unidentified man pulled himself onto the platform, but a passing train struck Basin, who was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Police issued a sketch of the man they were looking for. They described him possibly in his 30s, thin, with dirty blond hair and "pock marks" on the right side of his face.
Basin is at least the 17th person to be killed by a subway so far this year, the newspaper said.
