Judge Mary Murphy is returning to Fox network's "So You Think You Can Dance," it was announced Tuesday.
The spunky dancer and choreographer had been a full-time judge from 2007-2009 but stepped down last season; consequently, ratings dipped.
"I am delighted to have Mary back on the show," producer and judge Nigel Lythgoe said in a statement. "Her expertise in dance, coupled with her warmth, compassion and humor, make her an excellent judge and fun to work with."
Auditions for season 8 kick off in Salt Lake City (February 2), Los Angeles (February 25) and Charlotte, N.C. (March 1).
The season is set to air in summer 2011.
