MLB: Colorado 10, San Diego 6
SAN DIEGO, (UPI) -- Miguel Olivo homered and drove in four runs and Ubaldo Jimenez won his 14th game Monday in the Colorado Rockies' 10-6 victory over San Diego.
Olivo's two-run double in the third put the Rockies up 4-0 and his two-run clout two innings later extended Colorado's lead to 6-0, helping to make a winner of Jimenez (14-1), who became the first National League pitcher since 1912 to record victories in 14 of his first 15 starts.
Carlos Gonzalez, Ryan Spilborghs and Seth Smith pounded homers for the Rockies.
Jimenez recovered from his worst start of the year in his last outing to hold the Padres to four runs on four hits over six innings, walking four and fanning seven.
San Diego starter Kevin Correia (5-6) was roughed up for six runs on seven hits in five innings.
Scott Hairston blasted a three-run homer and added an RBI double for the Padres.
