LOS ANGELES, (UPI) -- Josh Johnson struck out eight batters in eight scoreless innings Wednesday, leading the Florida Marlins to a 4-0 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Johnson (9-3) scattered six hits and walked only one, lowering his major league-best ERA to 1.82 and giving the Marlins the rubber match of a three-game series at Dodger Stadium.
Florida scored all four of its runs in the second inning. Cody Ross knocked in a pair with a double and one out later Mike Stanton drove him in with a home run to left field.
Hiroki Kuroda (7-7) took the loss for Los Angeles, yielding four runs on six hits over seven innings.
