ST. LOUIS, (UPI) -- Bud Norris allowed one run over eight innings Thursday in the Houston Astros' 4-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals.

Norris (2-4) allowed the one run on six hits while striking out eight in helping Houston complete a sweep of the three-game series against the Cardinals. It was the first time the Astros took all three games of a series in St. Louis since April 2004.

The only run he allowed came in the seventh inning when Matt Holliday drove in Albert Pujols with a single.

But Houston was already up 4-0, having reached Cardinals starter Chris Carpenter (4-1) for three hits and a walk in the third inning.

Michael Bourn walked with one out in the St. Louis third before Jeff Keppinger reached on an infield single. Lance Berkman drove in a run with a base hit before, after the inning's second out, Hunter Pence blasted a 2-2 pitch for a 3-run home run.

St. Louis reliever Matt Lindstrom pitched the ninth and earned his ninth save.
