HOUSTON
(UPI) -- A three-run double by Jeff Keppinger in the second inning staked Houston to a four-run lead Wednesday and the Astros fought off San Francisco 6-3.
Houston ended a five-game losing streak despite committing three errors that made two of San Francisco's runs unearned.
Brett Myers (5-5) lasted seven innings to get the win, giving up three runs on six hits. He also had two hits and drove in a run.
Barry Zito (7-4) was charged with the loss after surrendering five runs on seven hits in four innings. Zito was coming off a complete-game loss against Toronto.
San Francisco had won its previous two outings.
