MLB: Minnesota 15, Milwaukee 3

MINNEAPOLIS, May 22 (UPI) -- Justin Morneau had three of Minnesota's 13 hits Friday, drove in three runs and scored twice to send the Twins storming past Milwaukee 15-3.

Morneau did not figure in Minnesota's seven-run first, during which the Twins sent a dozen men to the plate. He came back, however, to double home two runs in a five-run fourth and single in another run in the fifth.

The Twins snapped a three-game losing streak, during which Detroit moved into a tie with Minnesota for first place in the American League Central.

Nick Blackburn (5-1) benefited from the offense to get the win, giving up three runs on seven hits in 7 1/3 innings.

Jason Kubel had four RBI -- two of them on a single in the first, another with a sacrifice fly in the fourth and one more with a bases loaded walk in the seventh.

Dave Bush (1-5) recorded only one out while facing 10 batters and was roughed up for seven runs on six hits. It was the shortest start of his major league career.

Since 2006, Minnesota has baseball's best interleague record at 54-19.
