Felix Hernandez limited San Diego to four hits and struck out nine Sunday in the Seattle Mariners' 4-2 inter-league victory.
Hernandez (4-5) went 8 2/3 innings

, allowing only one walk, to help the Mariners avoid a three-game sweep at Petco Park.

David Aardsma got the final out, picking up his 13th save.

Jose Lopez doubled home Chone Figgins with the tie-breaking run in the eighth inning off Luke Gregerson (1-2) and Seattle tacked on an insurance run in the next frame when Ichiro Suzuki got an RBI with a bloop double.

Milton Bradley socked a two-run shot in the fourth inning to pull Seattle into a 2-2 tie.

Tony Gwynn Jr. hit a two-run homer for San Diego.
