MLB: Texas 11, Seattle 6
SEATTLE, David Murphy had a three-run homer and Michael Young blasted a grand slam Wednesday, powering the Texas Rangers to an 11-6 triumph over Seattle.

The Rangers broke out of an offensive slump with 15 hits, rallying from a three-run deficit and maintaining an eight-game lead over second-place Oakland in the American League West.

It was the 10th time this season the Rangers have produced a double digit run total, but it is the first time it has happened in almost a month. They had scored three or fewer runs in nine of their previous 12 games.

Texas faced a 5-2 deficit heading into the fifth before putting runners on first and third with one away. A wild pitch by Doug Fister (4-7) allowed a run to score and Nelson Cruz was intentionally walked with two out before Murphy homered to right to put Texas in front.

Mitch Moreland had an RBI single later in the inning to make it a five-run frame.

Seattle trailed by only a run going into the seventh, but three straight singles with two out brought up Young and he hit the first pitch from reliever Garrett Olson out to left.

Scott Feldman (6-9), recently demoted to the bull pen, got the win with two innings of relief. Fister surrendered seven runs on eight hits in 4 2/3 innings.
