ARLINGTON, Texas, May 20 (UPI) -- A sacrifice fly by Nelson Cruz brought home Michael Young in the ninth inning Wednesday, lifting the Texas Rangers to a 4-3 triumph over Baltimore.

The Rangers won their third straight and equaled their season's best by moving five games above .500. Baltimore's road record fell to 5-16, worst in the majors.

Texas rallied into a 3-2 lead in the seventh by scoring twice without hitting the ball out of the infield.

Cesar Izturis singled home a run in the eighth to forge a 3-3 tie but the Rangers built the winning run in the ninth against three pitchers.

Young doubled to open the ninth against Cla Meredith and Ian Kinsler then drew a walk.

After Vladimir Guerrero flew out, Alberto Castillo relieved Meredith and walked Josh Hamilton to load the bases.

Jason Berken came on for Castillo and promptly gave up a fly ball to center by Cruz on a 1-0 pitch.

Frank Francisco (5-3) got the win by working the top of the ninth.

The Rangers scored their two runs in the seventh on an infield single, an error, a sacrifice, an intentional walk, an RBI groundout and another infield single that produced the second run of the inning.
