Museum offers $10,000 to stay 30 days
CHICAGO, Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry is accepting applications from people willing to spend a month living at the facility for a $10,000 paycheck.
The Museum of Science and Industry said it is accepting applications on the Web site monthatthemuseum.org from people interested in spending 30 full days and nights at the facility and posting about the experience on YouTube, Twitter and a blog, the Chicago Tribune reported Friday.
The museum said the chosen applicant will use a furnished 16-foot-by-16-foot glass exhibit an office, where museum officials will post a to-do list for the day.
"You don't have to be Einstein to take part in Month at the Museum," said Rob Gallas, vice president and chief marketing officer for the museum. "Lacking basic science knowledge is not a deal-breaker."
"It's our version of a reality show," he said. "But it's not 'Survivor.'"
