Newbie Questions

I have a pansat 2700A, while installing the BIN file I have found it necessary to wait maybe 20 minutes for the file to "Do its thing".
My questions are, how will i know if the BIN file did not "take effect" and how long is "TOO" long to wait ?

You can go to systems information to see if the current bin is installed . and I bet you are using windows Vista which loads at a very slow rate .. Have a Great Day Cheers ,,,

Nope .. no windows Vista .. YUCK COUGH SPIT !
Good old XP, if you can call any MS operating system good

well I get by with Vista it takes a little getting use to but not as bad as everyone thinks .. anyway about your problem . do you use a USB to serial port adapter or do you have a comport on your computer because if you use USB adapter the Baud Rate setting might have to be changed .......
