Police: Man went to Denver to molest girls

DENVER, (UPI) -- A Greek man arriving at Denver's airport and was arrested and charged with intent to sexually molest two girls, authorities said.

Georgios Sgouros, 42, of Athens, was charged Wednesday with traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and aggravated sexual abuse of children. If convicted, he faces a sentence as much as 30 years in prison and $250,000 in fines, The Denver Post reported.

U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement Special Agent Melissa Coffey posed undercover in January as the single mother of two girls, ages 5 and 7, on an Internet chat room. During the ensuing months, Coffey received instructions from a person with the screen name, "Daviidd," for preparing the girls for sexual activity.
