pvr stop working after last patches

my friend was using the pvr function before the patches from last week . The HD works good, he has another recordings there from using the same cw 800 to record. He can see the previous recorded shows in the HD, he can play it- but he can not record anything now.This started with the 2 previous patches 205 and 206 . he factory reset the box put the192, 193 bin (it didnt ask for the serial # maybe bcause he already put it before)then new 207 bin and he is watching tv now. Just not recording it all- he tried both ways using the timer - green bottom or direct from the channel that he is watching with out any luck .
like i said all the signals that indicated that is going to record are there, just its no happening. *any ideas** *I
